THE SERIES
This is a 2.5mile, figure 8 type of stroll around the pretty and historic village of Laleston. You could, of course, break it up into two 1 milers, or do them randomly, whatever suits your day. Due to the small size of the village, and quite a bit of interesting stuff to see, I've had to detour out into the countryside quite a bit, and still some things could not have their own cache. So I've written in the descriptions if there are other interesting things to see en-route. There's parking all around the village, especially near the church and post office, please park considerately and don't block any access. The route goes over farm fields, so some of the caches will not be available to wheelchairs or buggies, check the attributes.
THE CACHE
You are standing near to Laleston's historic well, I have been unable to find very much info on this at all, but no doubt it will be as old as the church I imagine. Until 1928 when mains water became available, this well was the main source of water in the village. It is an area quite overlooked by houses, but mostly kitchen windows, if you park at GZ your car can provide some cover. Cache is a magnetic micro, pencil and FTF included, room for small swaps. Please replace the container and its lid EXACTLY as found, making sure it remains vertical, embedded and convincing and the lid goes back on the right way up (the magnets only work one way round) .
***A huge credit must go to Dawn Treader who created this series and its fantastic containers. Has to be one of the best series I have done locally and I couldnt turn down the opportunity to adopt it. I will try and be as creative and imaginitive as the original CO with the cache containers but thats a big task!***
