Geocache Description:

Congratulations to FTF Dartmoor Boxers. Thanks for log!

Tweezers are a must for this cache!

This is a series of caches along the walk we regularly take with our dog Gem, hence the series name!, currently two have been published, we will be publishing more in the coming week

The caches are a mix of micro and small containers.  To ensure good condition of the cache please make sure all lids are properly closed.

This cache is located in the car park of Dearne Valley Country Park, park here for the rest of the caches.

As the country park is regularly used place, please ensure you place the caches back in exactly the same place.

Dearne Valley runs alongside the river for two miles from Old Mill to the Trans Pennine Trail viaduct at Lundwood.

The park is less than a mile from Barnsley town centre and is surrounded by the communities of Oakwell, Old Mill, Monk Bretton, Lundwood, Stairfoot and Hoyle Mill.

Thanks go to Russell Boland of Barnsley council for providing permission to place these caches. Please note, the fishermen are regulars to the country park and act as volunteer stewards, if anybody approaches you please don’t act suspicious and tell them about geocaching and the permission from Russell Boland.
