Here lies the last intact entrance to the complex underground system the dwarves built under Mount Maungakiekie. One of the largest dwarven cities was once under your very feet with hundreds of tunnels, caverns, dungeons and halls and was all powered by the immense wealth the mountain contained in precious metals and gems ranging from gold, sapphires, unobtanium, Pounamu and Mithril. They had so much wealth it even allowed them to fund a research team to supply over 50%of middle earth’s bitcoin servers. Yes times were good and their defence was second to none. Even many dragons had tried to take what they worked so hard for and failed to only be turned into dwarven weapons and Armor. Their final goal was to find the heart of the mountain as legends rumoured by their past profits said that the mountain’s heart contained a power greater than any witch or wizard had ever seen... and they were not wrong. For when the first axe struck what the wielder assumed was a gem so rare it would make him a king was actually a pressurised pocket of glowing hot magma that instantly spewed up throughout every tunnel and filled every room. With the entire city being connected they were all doomed and the entire empire they had built was over so quickly they didn’t even have time to realise their impenetrable fortress had burst from within. With this entrance being built solely for the purpose of spying on the elven training grounds below, the higher altitude kept it from going up in ablaze.
