Thank you to all the Geocachers who joined in the fun at the Mad Hatter Tea Party at The Indulge Tea Garden in Gold Creek today. There were a total of 42 people in attendance from more than 50 RSVP’s.

There were so many fantastic hats some Home Made and some Store Bought but all were unique in their own way. . I would also like to thank everyone who either made or bought fancy hats to wear at the event. . I would like to give a special mention to Aykayem, Joolay and Kittykatch for their Movable Geocaching Australia Caches that were built into their hats. What a fantastic idea.

It was great to meet Kestle from Queensland, Siniverka from Finland. Congratulations to SpecimenX for winning the main Prize and the right to claim First to Find for the event. It was also good to see Schlickmic at their first event.

Originally the event was only going to go for 30 minutes but everyone was having so much fun that the event ended up going for more than 90 minutes. There was lots of TB swapping, Geocaching Talk, Tea Drinking, Cake Eating and a real party atmosphere. I personally ate several types of cakes and the Lime Cheesecake was to die for.

An event full of amazing hats, fantastic people and endless fun.

Join in the fun at the Mad Hatter Tea Party with DARKSIDEDAN as The Mad Hatter

A Mad Hatter Tea Party involves wearing a HAT to the event. It can be any hat you like. But there will be a PRIZE for the most Outrageous Hat at the event. While at the event everybody attending drink Tea or Coffee, switch places at the table periodically and chat about everything Geocaching. The event will go for 30 minutes but everyone is welcome to stay longer if they would like. There is a table booked at the venue under the name Daniel Newton. The Indulge Tea Garden at Gold Creek stocks more than 50 types of Tea and specializes in a High Tea experience. They also have the most wonderful selection of Cakes. The event is suitable for all ages (Sorry No Geo-dogs) and don't forget to wear you silly hats.

Please Note: You do not have to purchase anything from Indulge Tea Garden to attend the event.
