Beavers live in this area. The view from this point looking north makes that apparent. Occasionally the city clears them out and removes their dam from further downstream. Currently the dam is in place and has been for several months flooding the area for their habitat.
Sept-2018. Chatted with some of the employees who work on maintaining the flow control near the cache site. They let me walk out on it to see the baffles that control the flow of water under the road. They also informed me that they're no longer removing the beaver dam located downstream that floods the creek on the south side.
The cache is along the sidewalk next to the busy road. Completely accessible from the sidewalk. No really good parking nearby. Though this is a micro there is room for geocoins and small trackables with tags in the small den.
