Train spotters rejoice! Stay a while and you might get a toot from a passing train. Whitelaw level crossing is a pedestrian crossing on the Shotts line between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Almost 150 trains pass by per day.
CAUTION: Please be careful if using the level crossing. Pay attention to the warning lights, announcements and signs. Look both ways and be alert to danger. Please look after any children or dogs with you.
Suggest parking near indicated spot in Currie and walking to the cache location along Donkey Lane. This will get you to the cache without the need to use the level crossing. There are closer approaches by car but these are narrow single-track roads and not recommended.
This is a replacement for the archived cache Woooosssshhhh.
