Geocache Description:


This cache is a micro. It’s magnetic with log only, and you may need tweezers. It’s placed on Bramall Lane, home to the oldest professional football ground in the world. Sheffield United have been playing here for over 125 years. Bramall Lane started out as a cricket ground and was home to Sheffield Wednesday before they moved out in 1889 to move to a new purpose built stadium in Ollerton. When Wednesday moved out, the owners of Bramall Lane soon realised they needed to keep football at the stadium so SUFC were formed in the same year and still play there today.
