There is a nefarious group in Toronto who is pushing a social-ist agenda! These people are foisting their "events" on the rest of us, trying to get us to "mingle" and "share". And here is evidence, hard proof, that these East End Hooligans are actively promoting this policy in foreign lands too!
Well, all fun aside, socializing is a big part of the Geocaching ethos. And the East End Hooligans are pretty good at hosting and attending events ... but just how active are they? This Challenge Cache will tell the tale!
The cache IS at the posted coordinates! Parking coords have been added for those of you driving, and there are nearby transit stops if that is your mode of transportation.
To qualify for this challenge cache, you must have accumulated at least 1,000 points by attending various Geocaching events. Points are earned by multiplying the number of "Attend" logs you have for each type by the point value (see table below). You could qualify for this challenge by attending 1,000 Events, or by attending only 4 Giga Events...it is up to you how to qualify!
Event - 1 point
CITO - 25 points
Mega - 100 points
Lost & Found Event - 200 points
Groundspeak Lost & Found Celebration - 200 points
Geocaching Block Party - 200 points
Giga - 250 points
You are welcome to find the cache and sign the log sheet at any time. If you do so before qualifying, please post a note instead of a find. Once you qualify you are welcome to log a find. To verify that you qualify please use the Challenge Checker (see link below).
Find logs for cachers that do not qualify will be deleted.
This area could really use some attention with respect to litter. Please bring a bag to CITO the area. There is a litter receptacle nearby (see Reference Waypoint) where you can dispose of what you pick up. Thank you,
