“Geocaching is an adventure. Whether you’re climbing muddy banks, battling forests of nettles and vines, or getting lost in circles on a rainy day in a country park, you’re out making memories and having fun.
When scouting a location for this cache I saw an elderly couple sitting on a dock overlooking the nearby pond. I began to wonder what sorts of adventures they had been on in their life and smiled because, no matter how things had changed over the years, they were still going on them together.
I look forward to one day finding our bench and our pond, after a lifetime of our adventures, too...”
This cache is a small plastic tub (approx. 10x12cm) containing a log, pencil and enough space for some small swappables/trackables.
This is our first attempt at hiding a Geocache - we hope you enjoy searching for it and that Geocaching brings you as many fond memories and fun experiences as it has us!
Please leave comments and let us know what you thought about the cache!
** Please be warned - this cache is near a small pond, surrounded by large bushes and reeds. You will not need access to the pond itself or the swampy marshland directly around it’s edge to find this cache. Neither will you require entry via the nearby Abbeyfield Girton Green assisted living facility - please be respectful of the elderly residents when conducting your search and keep on the look out for prying eyes on the hidden cache. Watch your step, be safe and have fun! **
