Placed as my contribution to geocaching.com Hidden Creatures geocache hunt June 27 through July 25 2018, where geocachers can earn up to 13 mythical creature souvenirs by finding geocaches and attending events.
This cache is for the Phoenix souvenir awarded after finding 25 geocaches and earning 25 points.
In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a long-lived (by most accounts living for 500 years), colourful, vibrant bird, that dies in a show of flames and combustion before being born again arising from the ashes of its predecessor.
