Placed as my contribution to geocaching.com Hidden Creatures geocache hunt June 27 through July 25 2018, where geocachers can earn up to 13 mythical creature souvenirs by finding geocaches and attending events.
This cache is for the Unicorn souvenir awarded after finding 5 geocaches and earning 5 points.
The unicorn is a legendary creature with a single large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead. It was commonly described as an extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace, which could be captured only by a virgin. Its horn was said to have the power to render poisoned water potable and to heal sickness.
