We walked up Quimper using this new-to-us route: The Last Mile. I really liked it and wanted to make a return trip down the mountain using this sweet route but on our way back to the jeep we found yet another new-to-us route. That's ok because there is nothing better for me than to return to a familiar area and find new trails to explore!
As we walked that last bit to the jeep Sole seeker realized he left his hiking pole way back at a new cache we had set up. Sigh. I gave him my pack to lighten my load and hoofed it quickly back up the trail to retrieve his pole. Got it right where he said it would be and was extra pleased I really did add extra miles to this jaunt!
That last mile though...
Really needed a Cold One.
