April 2023 Update
The sculpture is still in storage while works are ongoing on wastewater pipes. You can pretty much find all the information online.
Lightwing (Thomas, 2018) is a sculpture created by Andrew Thomas for the E Tu Awakairangi Hutt Public Art Trust.

Capturing the identity of the area, Andrew created a sculpture inspired by the surrounding natural environment, the clean lines of architecture and the area's industrial history. He also took inspiration from the feathers of white herons, that would gather around the mouth of the Hutt Valley.
It is described as the largest sculpture in the Wellington region, weighing in at 20 tonnes, and standing at 6 metres high and 10 metres.
You don't have to cross the road to the island to find the cache, or to solve the puzzle (in fact it's preferable that you don't as it's a very busy intersection). Answer the following questions:
A = Number of wings on the sculpture
B = Length of road name the wingtips are pointing towards (first word)
There is a sign on a utility box on the roundabout. You can see this from the path on the outside of the road around the island.
C = Number of wings on the sign
D = Length of the third word
E = Number of unique letters on the sign
F = Number of words on second line
Checksum for A to F = 57
Now project Y metres at Z degrees from the posted coordinates to the final, where:
Y = [ (C/F)^2 x D^2 ] + [C/F]
Z = [ ( A x D^2 ) - ( E x {B/F} ) - ( E - D - F ) ] / D
(Yes, Z requires 1 decimal point of accuracy)
Bring your own pen and please replace exactly how you found it.
