Gem’s Walk #7 - Gem’s Tired Now! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

njfeathe85: We took a walk early this morning with Gem to check the caches.

I have to say I’m pretty annoyed at the state that some of the caches have been left in. One cache has had the container and a camo bag stolen, the log was replaced in a the hiding place but the container gone. Very annoying.

This cache has gone missing too many times and there isn’t another suitable hiding spot nearby.

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to FTF Dartmoor Boxers. Thanks for log! This is the last in the series and is on the path back to ththe car park. There maybe a lot of muggles around (particularly fishermen) so please use stealth! This is a series of caches along the walk we regularly take with our dog Gem, hence the series name! Parking is available at "Gem's Walk #1-Fetch" (GC7QE5T). The caches are a mix of micro and small containers. To ensure good condition of the cache please make sure all lids are properly closed. As the country park is regularly used place, please ensure you place the caches back in exactly the same place. Dearne Valley runs alongside the river for two miles from Old Mill to the Trans Pennine Trail viaduct at Lundwood. The park is less than a mile from Barnsley town centre and is surrounded by the communities of Oakwell, Old Mill, Monk Bretton, Lundwood, Stairfoot and Hoyle Mill. Thanks go to Russell Boland of Barnsley council for providing permission to place these caches. Please note, the fishermen are regulars to the country park and act as volunteer stewards, if anybody approaches you please don’t act suspicious and tell them about geocaching and the permission from Russell Boland.
