Metro's Expedition A family and dog friendly walking path with beautiful trees and a sparkling pond with a dock for looking at the ducks. This is my dogs' favourite trail for their daily walks and is beautiful in both summer and winter. Each cache will be named for a foster dog that my family and I have had over the years. (Metro was not a foster, he was adopted by my parents as a puppy before I was born, we always joke that he is the king of the house because he is so old and is our fist pet.) Quinu (he-new) Meaning: Slush by the Bay My very first foster dog, we had her when I was in grade three (I am now in grade 8). She came from Nunavut and was brought here with her brother to be fostered because the owners couldn't take care of her any longer. She was adopted into a loving home but unfortunately died a few years later. it was a short, but very sweet life she lived and will always be remembered. P.S. not all of these stories are about dogs that died, it just so happened that this one did. :(
