Geocache Description:

Tacoma has a lot of great murals. This is one of the newer ones and might be the largest in Tacoma. It takes up the entire side of a two story building! Enjoy the local art work.

Background info below and not needed to find cache :)

Mural created by Esteban Camacho Steffensen and Jessilyn Brinkerhoff

Veiw the making of this mural and other work of Esteban Camacho at his website at EcoMurals.com. The discription below was taken directly from his website. (Jessilyn's website is Wildcloudcreative.com)

The grand cedar that reaches to the top of the building is painted to a full sized old growth honouring the forest ancestors that stood so tall and were respected by the native Americans. We are using the metaphor of weaving to create movement throughout the entire mural composition. A Puyallup woman is of high status as a basket weaver is in the process of creating a clam basket with an open twined weave. The Cedar root basket threads wind to the left and right, carrying ribbons from that past harmonious human relationship and connectivity with the ecosystem of the forest, taking only what is necessary and moving to the right as the story evolves.
