Geocache Description:

The 950 acres of Warriors' Path State Park (WPSP) is more than just around the Fort Patrick Henry Reservoir, Duck Island, playground, and the golf course. There is a network of trails to explore deeper into the park.

The geocache is located along the 2.5-mile Devil’s Backbone Trail, which extends from Fall Creek Road to Childress Ferry Road.  This hide was originally the relocation of GC75Y9P classic Tupperware which had a good year at a bridge over Fall Creek.  Agreement was reached with a WPSP park ranger to move the container to a new location as the previous year only resulted in 12 finds.  It went missing in September 2019, so now replaced with a wide-mouth plastic bottle. It's a hidden in the woods, so employ your high technology and geosense to locate the geocache.

An alternative name for the geocache might be Deer Bedtime as have observed several resting deer here in early mornings. You can also see their imprints in the leaves from sleeping nearby.

Tennessee State Park Geocache Placement application is on file and approved by Possumcop, the local ranger. The term was renewed for another year (after just 12 finds), thus good until May 2020 so find it in your own season of opportunity.
