When I first moved out to the Seattle area, everything was new to me here. Being that I grew up in a small city in Idaho, Seattle was more vast in everything I had experienced in life; more people, more traffic, more rain, and more TV channel options. I remember one day sitting at home and was bored. I turned on the TV and wanted to see what was on. I flipped through the channels and eventually stopped on the local PBS station playing a British sci-fi comedy. I watched it for a couple minutes and got bored with it. I didn’t like the look of the special effects and it looked like it had a low budget. It didn’t impress me so i changed the channel. I continued flipping through channels hoping to find something entertaining to watch. There was nothing keeping my attention and I kept thinking back to that British sci-fi comedy. I liked the comedy aspect of Monty Python and decided to give that British sci-fi comedy another try. I flipped back to it and was hooked!

That show was called “Red Dwarf”. The synopsis to the show would be it’s about a chicken soup machine repairman that has survived a radiation leak (that has killed the crew) aboard the mining spaceship “Red Dwarf” (that’s 5 miles long). The survivor, Dave Lister, spends his time on the ship with a holographic projection of Arnold Rimmer (his dead bunkmate), Cat (a life-form that evolved from Dave's cat), Holly (the ship's senile computer), and Kryten (a service mechanoid).

I became addicted to this show! The comedy was spot on and just something I really wasn’t used to. I tried to record as many episodes as I could whenever the PBS channel would have their Red Dwarf marathons. When I would have more episodes, I would invite friends over so they could watch and experience this show and they became hooked. It wasn’t long before we would use quotes from the show in our daily lives and use the made up swear words from the show to insult each other (I still use the word “smeghead” to this day to describe many of those people that I encounter).

These episodes are roughly a half hour in length and I began to use this as a method of telling time; Red Dwarf Time. If it would take me 2 hours to do something, that would be 4 episodes of Red Dwarf I could’ve watched. A 5 ½ hour road trip to idaho would net 11 episodes. An 8 hour day at work would be 16 episodes I could’ve watched. A 24 hour day would be 48 hilarious episodes of Red Dwarf that could be watched (I haven’t watched 48 episodes of Red Dwarf in a row like that… I am not that addicted!).

With Red Dwarf Time, you should be able to figure out the puzzle to find “the small rouge one”. Here is the final coordinates that you need:

N SM° SG.2GH    W H22° H2.EGD
