1970 gab es hier noch keinen Zaun, und die Nordstrecke der Eisenbahn war noch nicht elektrifiziert. Die Diesel-Loks hörte man schon minutenlang von weitem dröhnen, und so wurde in unserer Jugend dieser Eisenbahntunnel von meinem Freund Guy und mir, sowie von manchen Holländern als Abkürzung zwischen dem Dorf und dem Ende des Campings benutzt um Einkäufe zu tätigen. Ungefährlich war das ganze wohl nicht. Glücklicherweise ist heutzutage eine Nachahmung unmöglich, da jeder Zugang zum Tunnel sehr stabil umzäunt ist.

There was no fence here in 1970, and the northern railroad track was not yet electrified. The Diesel locomotives could be heard roaring for minutes from afar, and so in our youth, this tunnel served my friend Guy and me, as well as some Dutch people as a short way between the village and the end of the camping for doing purchases. This adventure was surely dangerous. Fortunately, imitation is impossible nowadays because every access to the tunnel is very stably fenced.
