Where: National Cryptological Museum
8290 Colony Seven Road,
Annapolis Junction, MD 20701
N 39 6.896' W 76 46.487'
Time: 9:30 - 10:00 AM (with optional follow-on from 10:00 - 11:30)
Schedule: Prior to 9:30 - arrive at parking coordinates but do not congregate too obviously. (0bvious -> patterns -> code is broken)
9:30 - 10:00 - Sign log, look enigmatic and speak in codes. Otherwise, be as sociable as we can be on a Saturday morning.
10:00 - Bid adieu to the group. Wander off to finish caching for the day.
The cache mob will officially conclude at 10:00 and you are free to claim this one and be on your way. However, for those folks who prefer to stay around, I have arranged a guided tour of the museum from 10:00 - 11:30. The tour is free (As in no cost. As in leave your money on your pocket). and will be lead by one of the museum docents, most of whom are rumored to have forgotten more about codes and coding than most of us mere mortals will ever know.
There are not a lot of caches in the immediate vicinity, but there are a few. For people seeking "Now for something completely different", the highest point in Anne Arundel County is right up at the next exit. You will be on your own but mostly it is a follow your nose thing.
If you are planning on staying for the tour, a note in the logs to that end would be appreciated. I need to check with the museum if the crowd gets too large or too small. I had figured 10-12 as an initial SWAG. (That word has a slightly different meaning in geocaching and in code breaking).
