HISTORY OF BASSOWORLD
Many years ago, long before this area was a state park, this region was known as "Bassoworld Adventureland. At the time, the Basso Empire was controlled by Perkins Basso. Later, the name of the area was shortened to just "Perkins Canyon."
I worked summers at the park, helping to pay for my education. My favorite ride was called the "Ride the Rapids" adventure. The customers got in inner tubes, and rode Basso Creek all the way to Walnut Creek! It was quite an adventure, and we lost more than a few customers along the way. But we always made sure they paid first--just in case we lost 'em.
I remember one day a nice lady was trying something she called the "Catapult." She kept trying to fling a geocache a long ways, but it always fell into the rapids, never to be seen again. Finally, she toppled in herself. I'm not sure what happened to her.
Can you help me find the cache? I think it's lost among the rapids.
