This is a replacement for the original Bridleway cache. The GZ for that one has been completely destoyed in that the tree stump the cache was hidden under has fallen off the bank and now lies in the track itself. This new cache is markedly different in terms of difficulty/terrain rating and so I felt it justified a new listing.
The bridleway can vary from solid, hard, uneven ground to bog-like, swampy mud to effectively a small river over the course of the year, so please take care, judge the conditions and exercise caution. You know your own limits. At no point will this bridleway be accessible for pushchairs or wheelchairs. I have seen cycle tyre tracks down through it before, but I’d say only truly experienced off road experts should try it!
The cache itself is up the bank, on the right (if looking downhill) and is hidden around eight feet up from the path level. The bank is steep and can be very slippery.
Please replace the cache and its camoflage/protection exactly as found.
Parking is available at the north-eastern end of the bridleway near the cache “Nadder Lane”. The cache is much closer to the south-western end but there’s not really anywhere suitable to park there.
