Mt. Tecumseh is located in Waterville Valley and is named after the Shawnee Leader Tecumseh. It is also one of the 4000 Footers in the White Mountain National Forest.
The most popular trail to the summit is approximately 5 miles round trip and located at the Waterville Valley Ski area parking lot and can be accessed year round. You can also begin at the other end of Mt. Tecumseh Trail located off of Tripoli Road, which is closed in the winter. This trail is 6.2 miles round trip and involves some elevation changes and more difficult terrain, with some rocky areas. You might want to check the AMC White Mountain Guide for more specific trail descriptions.
In the past there was another cache on the summit which has since disappeared.
I have hidden a bison tube near the summit which should be harder to be found by "muggles". Please use stealth when others are nearby.
This cache would also qualify for the Summit Series Challenge hidden by Boatrs (GC4ZHBA).
Have fun and enjoy your hike!
