This is my first cache that I have hidden. My origins are from this place. Alykes, part of Katastari, has one of the main seaside resorts of Zakynthos beside Laganas and Kalamaki, Keri, Vasilikos, Argassi and Tsilivi and of course many other smaller ones. It is about 16 km Northwest of the city of Zakynthos. It is famous for its salt flats that were used in the past, however not anymore. If you are more interested about the salt flats, there is a quite detailed Earth Cache about them that you can challenge.
The cache is located on a hill in Alykes. As a spolier I have included two pictures of the path that you should follow so that you don't get onto any built properties. The spot where you'll find the cache and the path is also part of a private plot but the owner has been informed and has given his permission.
The first entrance is on the left on the main road from Alykes to Katastari about 300 yards from the seaside, opposite of the Proton Super Market. The second entrance is the second path on the right. Do have a look at the spoiler pictures so that you don't end up running to the end of the path which leads to a property. As you can see, you can leave your vehicle on the side, if you want.
Once you enter the path on the right, just follow it until you get to the top of the hill. Be sure you remember the way you took, so that you get back on the same path. Ideally you should not use thongs to go up the hill. Along the way to the top of the hill you will also cross nice olive groves.
As an attribute I have included snakes, however there aren't any, but you should always be careful when going up the hill. On the top of the hill, there's also a concrete pit in the ground, be careful, that is not where you will find the cache. Inside the pit you might see snakes. Additionally I have also included the attribute hunting ground. In autumn and winter the hill is sometimes used by hunters, therefore you might see old bullet casings. During the summer and specifically during the day hunting does not take place.
Once you are at the top of the hill, you will have a wonderful view of the whole surrounding of Alykes, Katastari and Alykanas. If you go up in the morning, you will also have a wonderful view of the sunrise. The cache contains the log book and a pencil. TBs are welcome.
For maintenance issues, my cousin who lives in the village, has been informed.
Since the plot is private, naturally you won't find any muggles there.

Dies ist mein erster Cache, welchen ich versteckt habe. Meine Verwandschaft stammt aus diesem Ort. Alykes, Teil von Katastari, enthält einer der Hauptbadeorte der Insel, neben Laganas und Kalamaki, Keri, Vasilikos, Argassi und Tsilivi, neben viele weitere kleinere Strände und Buchten. Der Ort liegt etwa 16 km nordwestlich der Stadt Zakynthos. Der Ort ist bekannt für seine Salzlagunen, welche allerdings nicht mehr genutzt werden. Wenn Du Dich dafür mehr interessierst, gibt es dazu einen interessanten Earth Cache, den Du machen kannst.
Der Cache befindet sich auf einem Hügel. Als Spoiler findest Du zwei Bilder, welche Dir den Startpunkt des Weges zeigt, den Du gehen solltest, damit Du nicht auf bebaute Grundstücke gerätst. Die Stelle an dem Du den Cache findest und der Weg dahin, ist auch Teil eines privaten Grundstückes. Der Inhaber ist informiert und hat seine Erlaubnis gegeben.
Der erste Eingang des Weges befindet sich links auf der Hauptstraße von Alykes nach Katastari, ca. 200 bis 300 m vom Meer enfernt, gegenüber vom Proton Supermarkt . Der zweite Eingang ist der zweite Weg auf der rechten Seite. Schau Dir unbedingt die Hinweisbilder an, damit Du nicht ausversehen auf bebautem Grundstück gerätst. Am Anfang des zweiten Eingangs, kann man auch ggf. parken.
Sobald Du den zweiten Eingang gefunden hast, folge den Weg, bis Du oben auf dem Hügel bist. Unbedingt Dir den Weg merken, damit Du wieder auf dem gleichen Weg zurück kommst. Idealerweise solltest Du feste Schuhe nutzen. Auf dem Weg zum Cache, kommst Du auch an schöne Olivenhaine vorbei.
Als Attribut habe ich auch Schlangen ausgewählt. Es sind zwar keine vorhanden, nichtdestotrotz sollte man diesbezüglich immer vorsichtig sein. Oben auf dem Hügel ist auch ein Betonschacht im Boden vorhanden, darin findet ihr den Cache nicht! Im Schacht selbst könnten Schlangen vorhanden sein. Außerdem habe ich auch das Attribut Jagdrevier ausgewählt, da im Herbst und im Winter, der Hügel manchmal als Jagdrevier genutzt wird. Daher kann es sei, dass Du leere Patronenhülsen findest. Im Sommer findet allerdings keine Jagd statt.
Wenn Du oben auf dem Hügel bist, hast Du dann einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die gesamte Umgebung von Alykes, Katastari, Pigadakia und Alykanas. Besonders in der Früh hat man auch einen tollen Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang.
Im Cache ist ein Stift und das Logbuch vorhanden. TBs sind natürlich willkommen.
Für mögliche Wartungsarbeiten ist mein Cousin, welcher in dem Ort lebt, benachrichtigt.
Da der Cache sich auf einem privaten Grundstück befindet, wirst Du keine Muggels antreffen.

Αυτο είναι το πρώτο Cache που έχω κρύψει. Οι συγγενείς μου κατάγονται από αυτό το μέρος. Οι Αλυκές, τμήμα του Κατασταρίου, περιλαμβάνουν ένα από τα κυριότερα παραθαλάσσια θέρετρα του νησιού, μαζί με τον Λαγανά και το Καλαμάκι, το Κερί, το Βασιλικό, το Αργάσι και το Τσιλιβί, μαζί με πολλές άλλες μικρότερες παραλίες και όρμους. Το χωριό βρίσκεται περίπου 16 χιλιόμετρα βορειοδυτικά της πόλης της Ζακύνθου. Ο τόπος είναι γνωστός για τις λιμνοθάλασσές του, οι οποίες, ωστόσο, δεν χρησιμοποιούνται πλέον. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε περισσότερο, μπορείτε να κάνετε μια ενδιαφέρουσα κρυψώνα Earth Cache.
Το Cache βρίσκεται σε έναν λόφο. Ως spoiler, θα βρείτε δύο φωτογραφίες που σας δείχνουν το σημείο εκκίνησης του μονοπατιού που πρέπει να ακολουθήσετε για να μην ξεστρατίσετε σε δομημένες περιοχές. Το μέρος όπου θα βρείτε την κρυψώνα και το μονοπάτι προς αυτήν είναι επίσης μέρος ιδιωτικής ιδιοκτησίας. Ο ιδιοκτήτης έχει ενημερωθεί και έχει δώσει την άδειά του.
Η πρώτη είσοδος του μονοπατιού βρίσκεται στα αριστερά στον κεντρικό δρόμο από τις Αλυκές προς το Καταστάρι, περίπου 200 με 300 μέτρα από τη θάλασσα, απέναντι από το σούπερ μάρκετ Proton. Η δεύτερη είσοδος είναι το δεύτερο μονοπάτι στα δεξιά. Φροντίστε να κοιτάξετε τις οδηγίες, ώστε να μην βρεθείτε κατά λάθος σε δομημένη γη. Μπορείτε επίσης να παρκάρετε στην αρχή της δεύτερης εισόδου.
Μόλις βρείτε τη δεύτερη είσοδο, ακολουθήστε το μονοπάτι μέχρι να φτάσετε στην κορυφή του λόφου. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι θυμάστε τον τρόπο ώστε να επιστρέψετε με τον ίδιο τρόπο. Ιδανικά, θα πρέπει να φοράτε ανθεκτικά παπούτσια. Στο δρόμο προς το Cache, θα περάσετε επίσης από όμορφους ελαιώνες.
Επέλεξα επίσης τα φίδια ως χαρακτηριστικό. Δεν υπάρχουν, αλλά πρέπει πάντα να είστε προσεκτικοί. Στην κορυφή του λόφου υπάρχει επίσης ένα τσιμεντένιο φρεάτιο στο έδαφος, στο οποίο δεν θα βρείτε το Cache! Μπορεί να υπάρχουν φίδια στο ίδιο το φρεάτιο. Επέλεξα επίσης το χαρακτηριστικό κυνηγότοπος, επειδή το φθινόπωρο και το χειμώνα, ο λόφος χρησιμοποιείται μερικές φορές ως κυνηγότοπος. Ως εκ τούτου, μπορεί να βρείτε άδειες θήκες φυσιγγίων. Το καλοκαίρι, ωστόσο, δεν υπάρχει κυνήγι.
Όταν βρίσκεστε στην κορυφή του λόφου, έχετε μια όμορφη θέα σε όλη την περιοχή των Αλυκών, του Κατασταρίου, των Πηγαδακίων και του Αλυκανά. Ειδικά το πρωί, έχετε επίσης μια υπέροχη θέα της ανατολής του ήλιου.
Υπάρχει ένα στυλό και το ημερολόγιο στο Cache. Οι TBs είναι φυσικά ευπρόσδεκτες.
Για πιθανές εργασίες συντήρησης έχει ειδοποιηθεί ο ξάδελφός μου, ο οποίος ζει στο χωριό.
Δεδομένου ότι η κρυψώνα βρίσκεται σε ιδιωτική ιδιοκτησία, δεν θα συναντήσετε κανέναν Muggles.
