Geocache Description:

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN LOOKING FOR, AND RETRIEVING CACHE. IT IS A VERY HIGH MUGGLE AREA. USE AS MUCH STELTH AS POSSIBLE.THANKS!

I had the idea of this cache a few months ago when shopping in Windsor, and I thought it would make a great Multi-Cache. The train itself has a lot of history.

The Industrial Revolution was in full swing when “The Queen,” the early steam locomotive that transported Queen Victoria between Windsor and London, was constructed. In fact, Victoria was the first British monarch to travel by rail, making her first voyage on June 13, 1842.

She reigned, from 1837 to 1901, During this time Queen Victoria travelled by train dozens of times.  This was quite an adventure  for the queen, as train travel was new and considered dangerous at the time. As many deaths and injuries were reported from the tracks in 1842 alone.

Today a full-size replica of a Great Western Railway class steam locomotive " The Queen", is permanently parked at Windsor & Eton Central Railway Station. The  black engine is adorned with the regal flourishes and features seen on the original machine, including the Royal Coat of Arms and the loco’s name inscribed along the side.

The recreation of Queen Victoria’s Royal Train was displayed in the late 1980s and early ’90s in an exhibition called Royalty and Railways (renamed Royalty and Empire) at the Windsor Royal Shopping complex in the newly restored railway station. It was too expensive to remove the locomotive after the exhibit closed, however, so there it remains today.

In its heyday, Windsor & Eton Central had 4 platforms. Now it only has 1 and runs a regular service every 20 minutes at peak times from Slough, about two and a half miles away.

This is the information you need to gather from The Train: How many feet long is the train? AB. What is the class of the loco? C-D-E. The train No. FGHJ. Swindon Works Oct? KLMN From The Statue at the second stage: In what year was the Golden Jubilee? OPQR

This is the formula to work out the coordinates of the cache.

N AJ EL.M(RxB)+K) W GGG (CxP)+Dx2).H (F+N) (M-Q-0)

When you've gathered all the information there are plenty of coffee shops and bars to sit down in, to work it out.

Please note: The N at the beginning and the W in the middle represent North and West and are not part of the numbers.

< Windsor is busy almost 24/7 so extreme stealth will be needed. Despite the mix up with figures Congratulations to Sarasador F.T.F http://www.geochecker.com/index.php?
