Geocache Description:

Why Revisited? A now-retired cache once existed on Brookside Avenue, and the location begs attention. The cache is in a pretty area and if you have time, continue a few kilometres north on Mt. Lehman Road and enjoy the scenery.

Brookside Avenue takes its name from a business established about 1960 at the corner of Mt. Lehman and Downes Roads. It was called Brookside Farms, likely in recognition of McLennan Creek that flowed past the business on its way to the Fraser River. The creek (or brook) has its start on the hillside west of the cache and flows eastward, around the north side of the old Brookside Farms establishment before it passes under the roads' intersection to continue its journey through the forest.

Part of the old Brookside Farms building still stands at the corner of Mt. Lehman and Downes. Imagine what its original owner would think if he knew how the area flourished to become what it is today. His business began as a small egg grading and processing operation, and today several businesses in the area are active in the food industry, with eggs continuing to be important.

You are looking for a micro bison tube. Bring your own writing device. With the new cache is a British Columbia themed geocoin. Congratulations London_Girl on your First to Find; you managed to squeeze it in between rain drops.

You may park along Brookside Avenue or in the cul-de-sac at the end, but when parking your car, remember that you are on a truckers’ thorofare. In fact, across from the cache is a truckers’ parking lot and trucks sometimes come and go every few minutes. Although you may encounter the gardener or a muggle walking by, most of the muggles are truckers who likely won’t care what you’re doing.

September 5, 2021. This long, hot summer caused many ornamental trees to die, and the cache's hiding place was also a victim. It's in a new hiding place, near the original location. Coordinates and hint are changed.
