On June 6, 2018 Geocaching HQ announced a new Augmented Reality (AR) geocaching experience. This is the second Augmented Reality experience I have created. Although the AR experience is straightforward, there are additional elements necessary to solve this mystery and find the cache. You will need to use an Android or iOS phone, tablet or other compatible mobile device connected to the Internet to experience the augmented reality, and you will need a Flash-compatible browser on a mobile device or (preferred) computer connected to the Internet to solve a puzzle. You will also need some transit system knowledge (not much) to help get you through this puzzle. This Augmented Reality experience requires that you have the Metaverse app installed on your phone/tablet/mobile device. You can find Metaverse here:
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gometa.metaverse
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/metaverse-ar-browser/id1159155137?mt=8
“This cache is part of an experiment that allows the use of Augmented Reality (AR) apps to find the cache. At the end of this experiment, Geocaching HQ will decide if this cache will be grandfathered or archived. Geocaching HQ reserves the right to archive this cache at any time if conditions change. If you have found this cache and would like to give feedback on your experience, please fill out this survey.”

To begin the Augmented Reality experience, scan the following code or click on the link. This Augmented Reality (AR) experience will launch in the Metaverse app. You do not need to be at the posted coordinates to launch this experience! While you are doing the augmented reality experience you will collect items in your Metaverse inventory. Once you have completed all 4 segments of the experience, go to your Metaverse profile and look at your inventory for the next clues on solving the mystery!

The final location of the cache is not far from the posted coordinates. Once you have correctly completed the Augmented Reality experience you will have 3 inventory items that you need to look at. Two of these items will give you the location of the final. The other item will help you figure out how to get at the final log sheet...don't skip this step! The container is unique for a geocache, but not unique for the final location. There is room in the container for the log sheet and one regular sized geocoin.
The parking coordinates can be used for both the posted coordinates and the final.
