Geocache Description:

We recently moved to this part of Exmouth. Known as Littleham Cross, there used to be a railway line that went through this area, stopping off at Littleham, before going on towards Budleigh Salterton, then stopping off at other various locations, before heading towards London. Unfortunately the railway line was closed in 1967, in its place there is a cycle trail that runs through Exmouth, around Phear Park, along Jarvis close, which then heads towards Budleigh. There are other geocaches along this route. If you haven't already done the Littleham to Budleigh walk/cycle. I do recommened it via the old railway line.

Jarvis Close now runs through the site of where the old railway station once stood. Although the platform has been demolished, part of the station building, which incorporates the old stationmaster's house, still stands today. See if you can spot it! Please be aware this building is now of private occupancy, so be respectful that it is not open to the public.

Please do find out more about the old railway line online. There are some lovely photos that are easily found after a quick google search. I have left this geocache along the cycle trail that leads to Budleigh Salterton one way, and Phear Park the other. Watch out for muggles, especially cyclists! Why not carry on walking towards Budleigh Salterton? Or stop off for some fish and chips at Littleham Cross. We really do highly rate the chip shop here! Devon Cliffs Holiday park is also just down the road, as is Exmouth Beach.

We hope you enjoy this cheeky little nano cache! Please note... tweezers would be very useful to obtain the log.
