A Cache of Ice and Fire #22 - Benjen Stark.
One of a series of caches that will take you on an adventure into the Gollans Stream area between Wainuiomata and Eastbourne. The series is designed to be accessed via either Rata Ridge Track (from the end of Lees Grove in Wainuiomata) or from the Main Ridge Track above Eastbourne. These caches are based on established Bait Lines through the reserve area. Please respect the hard work of the volunteers who work in this area - do not touch, alter, or damage any of the pest control traps. None of the caches are located near a trap - there is no need for you to come into contact with them. GPS reception in this area can be patchy - almost all of these caches are therefore hidden directly on or beside the Bait Line.
This series is named after some of the many characters from the A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels (later adapted into the successful television show "Game of Thrones"). This particular cache celebrates Benjen Stark.
Called Ben. Younger brother of Lord Eddard Stark and First Ranger of the Night's Watch.
Shortly after Jon Snow arrived at the Wall, Ben led six men on a ranging to discover what happened to Ser Waymar Royce. He has not been heard from since. He is sharp-featured and gaunt, with blue-grey eyes.
