As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:


This Cache rests close to the location of one of the oldest wind mills in Jersey, first shown on a map dating from 1563. The sails and mill workings were removed in 1909, and in 1920 the Mill was purchased by the States Of Jersey. 
The mill stands 27ft tall, on a rock mound adding a further 7ft. Its prominent position allows for the remaining structure to be used as a landmark for local fisherman returning from Les Ecrehous. 
During the occupation the Mills advantageous position was of use to the German forces, if you look at the top of the tower you can make out a concrete 'penny' that caps the tower. The Mill tower was used as an observation and directional position for the German artillery.
