This cache is part of an experiment that allows the use of Augmented Reality (AR) apps to find the cache. At the end of this experiment, Geocaching HQ will decide if this cache will be grandfathered or archived. Geocaching HQ reserves the right to archive this cache at any time if conditions change. If you have found this cache and would like to give feedback on your experience, please fill out this survey.
The trial period for Augmented Reality caches is only 3 months. In order to get this cache out within that period and allow a significant amount of time for cachers to try it out I did not spend long learning about, implementing and testing this experience. So what I have put together is quite simple and basic. I would have liked to have spent a lot longer working out how to get the best out of implementing AR. If this becomes a permanent feature of caching I may develop something making far better use of it.
Please download the Metaverse App (for iOS or Android) to be able to navigate to the final location. Please specify a username when signing up (I used my caching name) or else Metaverse will assign you a goofy one!
Once the app is on your mobile device, open the following link below (either by scanning the QR code or by clicking the link "Nottingham AR Experience" to open the URL) which loads the game. Once you have the Nottingham AR Geocache group open in the app you have to be within 30m of each location to be able to play the relevant augmented reality experience. The experiences will be greyed out when you are not in proximity of them. Click on the target icon to open a map with the locations marked on it and your current position. Alternatively you can use your geocaching app to navigate to the relevant waypoint as marked in the listing.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
