Geocache Description:

Here is another edition in our puzzle series providing you history of various towns in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

N 41° 53.[A+2]BC W 070° 53.DEF

The town was first settled by Europeans in 166B as Nemasket, later changed to Middlebury, and officially incorporated as Middleborough in 16F9.

During King Philip’s War, which took place from 1675-167A, the town's entire populace took shelter within the confines of a fort constructed along the Nemasket River.

Western Middleborough broke away in 185C and formed the town of Lakeville, taking with it the main access to the large freshwater lakes there, including Assawompset Pond.

In 199E the Middleborough All Stars reached the Little League World Series by defeating Milburn-Short Hills, New Jersey to take the East Region title.

Deborah Sampson, a female soldier of American Revolution who dressed as a man to serve in combat, lived in Middleboro at one point and was born in 17D0.

The final cache is a well hidden bison tube. Hope you enjoy.
