This is a challenge cache, and the cache is hidden at the posted coordinates.
When a geocache is hidden, the cache owner must always specify a size. Most are described as “micro”, “small”, or “regular”, with a rare few being described as “large”.
However, there are two other categories that are much less specific:
Other – The designation “other” is often used for unusual geocache containers that don’t fit into other categories, such as magnetic strips or caches hidden in other objects where the size of the object differs from the size that would normally be chosen . “Other” is also used for caches that don't have containers, such as events and earthcaches. Virtual caches have their own size designation as “virtual”, but those are not included in this challenge.
Not Chosen – The category “not chosen” was a size option in the past. It was often used when a little extra surprise was needed, such as when knowing the size of the container would completely give away the find. However, at some point, around 2014, Groundspeak removed the option of “not chosen” as a size. So today, “other” is used for cases where “not chosen” would have been used previously, including events and earthcaches. But caches described as “not chosen” when that was still an option are grandfathered, and so many older caches continue to have that size description.
To be able to log this cache, you need to have found a total of at least 500 geocaches that have their size designated as either “Other” or “Not Chosen”. Any type of cache that meets this criteria is eligible for this challenge.
There are no date or location restrictions for this challenge. The difficulty rating of this cache is based solely on completing the challenge. You must complete the challenge before creating a Found log on this cache. If you have not completed the requirements, but you locate the cache container and sign the log, you can create a Write Note log. Once you meet the challenge, you can log the cache as Found. If you log a Found but have not completed the challenge, the log will be removed. Remember to bring a writing implement to the sign the log.
