Relatively easy hike with only a few scrambles, beautiful views across the airport from Nikao to Avarua. About 1 hour to the top. Watch aircraft take off from above! The beginning of the trail is a little tricky to find: coming from Avarua down the backroad behind the airport, turn left down a road immediately before Tereora College. This road passes the BCI Stadium on the right. The road bends to the right at the top of the hill, then shortly after this take the paved road on the left ALL the way up the hill. It continues up quite steeply and eventually becomes gravel. Go all the way to the peak. You should have views across the airport already. Hike to the very top of the track to enjoy precarious views and a hidden cache.
