The use of wind energy for the production of electricity is still
relatively young technology, used only after a few decades,
although wind energy was used far ahead of oil and what we call
conventional sources.
We all know about windmills in Denmark or Spain, but the wind was used for a long time also on Croatian islands.
On Danilo we have set up 19 generators of the next generation of German manufacturer Enercon, whose turbines spin also on adjacent hills.
These are 79-foot-wide, the blade diameter 82 meters and the individual power of 2.3 megawatts.
The cache is under a huge stone in the frotn to the first turbine and from that location you can admire this incredible example of human progress and amazing view to the hills and Adriatic Sea.
