I strongly recommend finding out the time that the sun is due to set, and trying to locate this cache around 30 minutes beforehand. This is hidden in one of the best places in Kassiopi to watch the sunset, so once you've signed the logbook, you can sit back and enjoy the vista! It's well hidden, but doesn't require any special effort to find, just a bit of patience! The cache is hidden in Kassiopi's magnificent Byzantine fort, so begin your hunt at the main entrance. Walk around the inside of the walls in a counter-clockwise direction, taking time to admire the architecture, the olive trees, and the wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding coast. Take your time, watch your footing, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Soon, you will come to a large red generator set down in a covered area to the right hand side of the wall. Walk for about 10-15 metres, and you will get to a point where the wall dips, and you can see clearly for miles along the coast. Stay here a while, watch the sun set behind the hills of Kassiopi, and enjoy the light dancing on the mountains of Albania across the Ionian Sea. The cache is only a couple of metres beyond this point, make sure you look carefully, and leave no stone unturned. 22/06/22 EDIT: Box has now been replaced to be much more sturdy as previous logs were found to be water damaged. Pen and logbook replaced.
26/06/23 EDIT: Temporary cache has now been replaced after the original unfortunately went missing. Pen and logbook replaced. Cache returned to original hiding place.
