Geocache Description:

A Tribute to Florida Geocaches

I recently had the opportunity to do some geocaching in Florida, and it is always interesting to see how other folks do things. Not every geocacher is blessed with Montana's mountains, forests, prairies, & valleys to hide caches in. What Florida has is water -- lots and lots of water and, therefore, lots and lots of guard rails.

"GRIM" is short for "Guard Rail Madness" and there are several hundred GRIMs all over Florida. (I believe the original GRIM was in Louisiana, and the concept has been adopted and embraced throughout the Sunshine State.)  This cache could be thought of as "Guard Rail in Montana".

I stocked this gray magnetic mint tin with some things I thought had a Florida feel to them.  There is plenty of parking across the street. Depending on the time of day, this can be a very busy street and you might think about leaving the kids and dogs out of this hunt.
