Welcome to a Princes Park mini-series cache, Bug HQ.
WIDMEDOGS has always thought that Princes Park needs more caches so weโve placed a few and hope you enjoy them.
There is a car parking area for the park located at the bottom of Belvidere Road, (can be very busy at school drop-off and pick-up times) with roadside parking usually available along Belvidere Road and Devonshire Road nearby. Alternative parking can also be found at Windermere Terrace.
Near to this cache are The Sunburst Gates at the main entrance to the park. Restored in 2008 they are painted in their original colour with the sunburst motif gilded in 23.5 Karat gold leaf.
On the opposite side of the main path to the cache location stood The Doric Lodge which was destroyed by bombs in 1940.
Please take care when retrieving and handling this cache and we kindly ask that you replace it exactly as found.
A writing implement will be required for all and tweezers would be beneficial for some.
If walking with dogs, please keep them restrained around the lake as wildfowl live here, often with young.
Photos of your adventures would be lovely.
Enjoyed seeking this cache ? Maybe try our Riverside Walk caches, example: Through The Quayhole
There is also Judy The Donkey cache https://coord.info/GC7690Y located within the park.
