This cache was originally placed as a part of the 2018 Jacksonvile Geocaching Challenge (JGC). We have decided to keep it around for your caching pleasure!
The cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates. Instead, begin your navigational adventure at the posted coordinates, which are centered on a small wooden post marking the blue trail, located just beyond the trail map kiosk. From the posted coordinates, proceed along the trail at a 0 degree bearing until you reach a fork -- follow it to the left (away from the dead end spur). Continue along the trail at the same heading until you encounter another fork, marked by the post poles where a gate used to stand. At the fork, turn sharply to a 300 degree bearing and continue further down the trail for 220 feet until you encounter another wooden post marking the trail. From this post, turn to a final bearing of 34 degrees and punch 20 feet into the edge of the woodline to reach the prize you are seeking. Please ensure to rehide using naturally available camouflage so that it is not visible directly from the trail.
Be aware that trails can have standing water if there have been heavy rains recently.
