Placed in celebration of the 130th anniversary of the First Presbyterian Church, Titusville FL in 2018. The church's history started on a riverboat on the Indian River when Titusville had no established churches. Church services were held on the riverboat and money was collected to build a church. The first church building was on the corner of Pine Street and Hopkins Ave which was outgrown during the Apollo Space Boom in Brevard County. The present church was designed and built between 1963 and 1967. This building was designed by some of the prominent NASA engineers in the Apollo Program.
The First Presbyterian Church was dissolved since this cache was placed. The Church and property is now owned by Faith Baptist Church. They are moving from their North Carpenter Road location with plans to have their first services early April 2022. Faith Baptist is making major repairs and upgrades to the building including repair of roof timbers, new metal roof, new Air Conditioning equipment, upgraded bathrooms to meet code, replaced flooring, and painting throughout. You may even see a shiny bell after renovation!
