This is my first hide and is a Spirit Quest. Newburgh Cemetery.--Michigan Historic Site. An organization later known as the Newburgh Union Cemetery Society was formed on November 23, 1832 to establish and maintain this cemetery, the first in this present day city of Livonia. One grave that of Salmon Kingsley, a veteran of the American Revolution who died in 1827 already existed here. In the century that followed three other Revolutionary War veterans. Also, more than fifty Civil War veterans and other early residents were buried here on these grounds. This is a treasured reminder of the pioneer era. Please replace as found, and as always please be respectful on the cemetery grounds and observe all laws associated with cemetery access. Since it is a small container bring your own pen. After signing, please roll the log and place in the cap instead of the container. This will make it fit properly and won't tear the log.
