Geocache Description:

***NOTES:

  • There appears to be some tents set-up in the forest a little bit north of the midsection between stage 1 and stage 2. You might want to hug the south parts of the trail, or go through the forest to get to stage 2 to avoid this... I'll check periodically and remove this note when they are gone.
  • You should find this Autobot while you can as this area is flagged for development at some point in the future. If you decide to find this one, you might want to also find Autobot #15 (GC7RMX0) and Autobot #16(GC7RTWN) at the same time as they are in the same area.

A great battle was fought here and unfortunately this Autobot fell by the hands of the Decepticons.

During the battle, he lost his Energon cube, which you must find and sign.

To find the location of the lost Energon cube (container), you must navigate to the following coordinates (after solving the riddles):

N45° 16.[A+2][B+E-5][F+G-3]' W075° 55.[C+5][D+H+2][I+J+6]'
Note: The brackets do NOT mean multiplication, each bracket resolves to a single digit. Meaning there will be 3 digits for the North and 3 for the West.

Since 2007, there have been several live-action movies based on the Transformers. The live-action film series has received mixed-to-negative reception, with criticism of the plots, sophomoric humor, overuse of product placements and the lengths of the films, but praise of the visual effects, action sequences and music. Whether you liked the movies or not, knowledge of these movies are required to help find the lost Energon cube:

A = The digital root of the full name (first and last name) of the Director of these films.

B = The digital root of the Decepticon police car with "To punish and enslave" on the side.

C = The digital root of the Autobot that can only talk through his car radio.

D = The digital root of the year that the 2nd Transformer movie was released in.

Confirmation: The digital root of A+B+C+D is 2

[FIELD PUZZLE]

Now you must navigate to the coordinates listed below (virtual stages) and observe your surroundings. What you will find there will be associated with a number that you will need in order to find the lost Energon cube. The "corresponding number" and coordinates to visit are listed below.

The corresponding number for each "object" that is found at the stages:
  • 1 = A Transformer Mobility Device
  • 3 = Defense Outpost - Which is mostly destroyed by the Decepticon Bonecrusher, and really only one side of the walls remain standing [Hint: Google 'G1 Bonecrusher' and then look at surroundings to consider if it's possible that 'he' could have did that...])
  • 5 = Small Makeshift Autobot Hideout/Camp (Small tent structure - large enough to sleep one Transformer)
  • 7 = Autobot Defense Lookout Tower
  • 9 = Underground Autobot Base Ventilation Pipe
Destinations to "Observe" at:
  • E = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 16.914' W075° 56.065'(corresponds to Stage 1)
  • F = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 16.936' W075° 55.997' (corresponds to Stage 2 [Note: This one is more WEST than Stage 3])
  • G= Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 16.935' W075° 55.993' (corresponds to Stage 3 [Note: This one is more EAST than Stage 2])

Now walk over to the remains of the deceased Autobot (N 45° 16.944' W 075° 55.978' - Stage 4) and solve the following:
  • H = If the Autobot is a car, then H is 1, however if the Autobot is a motorcycle, then H is 5.
  • I = The number of tires that are still attached to the Autobot, multiplied by 2.
  • J = If the Autobot is 'normal side up', then J is 2, however if the Autobot is upside down (i.e. wheels facing up), then J is 5.

Be sure to private message me if you know of any other undiscovered Autobot burial grounds (old cars/trucks/motorcycles/skidoos or random scraps of metal) in, or near, Ottawa ;) - and don't forget to 'favorite' these if you are enjoying the series.
