The Bartholomew home, demolished in 2013, was a 160 year old home situated on the 260 acres of land at this location. The Georgian style home was not salvageable, after years of neglect and exposure to the elements. The building was on the Town's heritage list, but no legislative authority exists requiring that it be restored. It is currently owned by Frank Stronach's company, Adena Stallions. They intend to use the land for agricultural feed production and thoroughbred horses.
One of the Bartholomew boys married Mary Boyer (Boyer's Pond).
You do not need to trespass onto private property to find this cache. Parking for 1-2 cars is available at GZ, please be cautious if you back out.
