Geocache Description:


The 5k

5k = 3.1 miles. This 5k is entirely along a the Polly Ann Trail. You can walk, run or bike the trail. The 5k will end near the starting point.

The Wherigo

There are many zones along the trail. All you need to do is pass through the zones. There are no questions to answer, no other tasks to complete, nothing to remember. You will be timed and you will receive your results at the end of the 5k but there are no speed requirements. You can take as long as you want. Once you have completed the 5k, you will receive the coordinates for the cache. You must sign the logbook in the cache to log a find.

The Polly Ann Trail

This WherIgo is played on The Polly Ann Trail. The Polly Ann Trail is a 14.2 mile long, non-motorized trail located in Oakland County Michigan in suburban Detroit. The Polly Ann Trail begins in Orion Township and continues northeast through Oxford, Addison, and Leonard to the Oakland-Lapeer county line at Bordman Road. The trail surface is crushed aggregate and some asphalt surface in densely populated areas. The trail is open from dawn to dusk year round. Motorized vehicles are prohibited. Dogs should be leashed and under control. Do not litter or disturb vegetation or wildlife. Hunting is not allowed. All users yield to horses; cyclists yield to all other users. Helmets for riders are not required, but are recommended. Please be courteous to your fellow users and adjacent property owners. .
