Every wilderness path deserves to have an outhouse, although this one might be a little hard for the average person to use.
Ground zero is alongside a walking path in the Oldfield Fish Hatchery and Interpretive Trail. Reread that: it is alongside a walking path. There is no need to leave the trail or to otherwise interfere with the woods. GZ is within view of a walking bridge (which you probably crossed, and) which lies over the river where the fish are working, from time to time. Further up the trail there is a mossy covered bench which overlooks a small waterfall on the opposite bank, beside yet another trail leading to the golf course, so be prepared for oddly ethereal voices apparently coming from nowhere.
Please do your best to restore the camo on the cache. When it was set up, the cache could not be seen from the path.
On your way in from the trailhead, have a look at the signage, which explains some of what you might see along the trail.
Congratulations to coral.sea.cat on being FTF! Yay!!!!
I acknowledge that this cache is placed on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Tsimshian people, and I am grateful for their stewardship of this land and their hospitality which allows us to live, work and play here.
