Gemini - The Twins
This intriguingly named road* runs alongside the North Ryde Common, a perfect place for a cache in celebration of twins!! Twins are mysterious and magic. Double the trouble. Double the fun...
There are lots of twins in literature and popular culture. Some twin tales involve merry romps of mistaken identity. Some are darker. But, whatever the story, you can be sure it's going to be gripping!
Well-known twins include: Romulus and Remus (they founded Rome), Esau and Jacob (a mess of pottage??), Castor and Pollux (absolute stars), Sebastian and Viola (some cross-dressing involved), Cersei and Jaime (probably the least said the better but they did it all in style), Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee (Wonderland's dumb and dumber). And of course, classical mythology adored its most famous multi-tasking twins: Apollo and Diana --- rebirthed in the modern age as Superman and Wonder Woman.

The cache is a small sistema container, concealed beneath natural camouflage. It contains a log book and pencil and can hold small swappable items and trackables.

* Thank you, JordsAU, for providing the following historical information:
"Twin Road was previously known as Bridge Road (which is the name of the road continuing to the west of Lane Cove Road). The twins, which the road is named after are Laura and Mabel Heard. The Heard family had a farm in North Ryde (circa early 1900's, I believe), which included Heard’s cottages, still standing to this day, at 62 Wicks Road and 505 Twin Road."
*** FTF Honours go to Frazelle, Ash_Kate and Kid Ron Satan. Congratulations! ***
