Geocache Description:

It's been far too long since I've hidden a new cache, so here's a quick and easy park 'n' grab, or cache 'n' dash as I learned the Brits call it! It's large enough for all sorts of swag and travel bugs and has a bit more creativity than your typical PnG. Kid friendly and good for new cachers! I'm starting off the cache with three travel bugs I picked up while in the UK last month, please help them move along but only take one per cacher please. (*these three TBs have traveled on). Watch out for poison ivy, but cache is fully accessible without walking into any.

So why the name Ghost Train? Long ago, this cul-de-sac actually used to be a road that continued across the railroad tracks. You'll notice on a map that there's a Hudson Road on both sides of the tracks but that the two no longer connect. When we moved into the area a few years ago, we asked the neighbors about it. Neighborhood rumor holds that when the road used to go directly across the train tracks, there were a number of accidents involving cars not crossing the tracks on time or getting stuck in the tracks. The local government decided to get rid of that part of Hudson Road as a safety measure and let the woods reclaim the area. They say that these woods are still haunted with the poor souls who never got across the tracks in time. Are the rumors true? One can never be sure, but keep your ears open for mysterious noises in the area and the sound of the ghost train whistling by.

Congrats to Team Shurtle for the FTF!!
