I've walked past this location for years and always wondered why there is a white cross and pile of rocks under the trees. A beloved pet dog? The site of an accident? A wombat? Something more sinister? The cross is slowly deteriorating, so hopefully, a cache will help preserve the memory of whatever is being memorialised here. I would love to know your theory as you log the cache. You're looking for a bison. Please be careful with the geokids on this stretch of road. It might seem like a sleepy location, but drivers along here unfortunately can't read the "50" sign all too often.
