The row of cottages that once stood here were provided to workers of the estate of Lord O'Neill. Over the years many of the male estate workers passed away, leaving mainly widows inhabiting the cottages. The terrace became known as Widows' Row. The terrace was demolished for road widening in the 1960s.
A garden has been created in an unused area of where the cottages once stood.
