Geocache Description:

NOTES:

  • You should find this Autobot while you can as this area is flagged for development at some point in the future. If you decide to find this one, you might want to also find Autobot #13 (GC7RJ72) and Autobot #14(GC7RJ6R) at the same time as they are in the same area.
  • Bring rubber boots. The north part of the trail is a little flooded due to some beaver activity on a parallel west trail.

A great battle was fought here and unfortunately this Autobot Transformer fell by the hands of the Decepticons.

During the battle, he lost his Energon cube, which you must find and sign.

To find the location of the lost Energon cube (container), you must navigate to the following coordinates (after solving the riddles):

N 45° 17.[A-4][B+E-2][F+G+4]' W 075° 56.[C-2][D+H+4][I+J+5]'
Note: The brackets do NOT mean multiplication, each bracket resolves to a single digit. Meaning there will be 3 digits for the North and 3 for the West.

A = The digital root of the name of the massive and chaotic "Transformer" that is capable of transforming into a planet (and is an eater of planets himself). (Hint: 7 Letters, start with a U)

B = The digital root of the name of the other planet sized "Transformer" that is thought to be the 'twin' of {Answer_for_A} (except this one is considered to be the 'Good' counterpart, instead of the 'Evil' one). (Hint: 6 Letters, start with a P)

C = The digital root of the name of the creator of {answer_for_A} and {answer_for_B} (Hint: 2 words, each word with 3 letters)

Confirmation: The digital root of A+B+C is 5

[FIELD PUZZLE]

Now you must navigate to the coordinates listed below (virtual stages) and observe your surroundings. What you will find there will be associated with a number that you will need in order to find the lost Energon cube. The "corresponding number" and coordinates to visit are listed below. Note: There's no reason to assume you can't find the same type of 'object' at different locations...

The corresponding number for each "object" that is found at the stages:
  • 1 = Autobot Defense Lookout Tower
  • 2 = A Transformer Mobility Device
  • 3 = A misc. Transformer body part (ex: metal - but not a "mobility device")
  • 4 = Underground Autobot Base Ventilation Pipe
Destinations to "Observe" at:
  • D = 2 = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 16.831' W075° 56.044'(corresponds to Stage 1) (The object is missing now, and it was a tire)
  • E = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 16.893' W075° 56.061' (corresponds to Stage 2)
  • F = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 16.949' W075° 56.133' (corresponds to Stage 3)

Now walk over to the remains of the deceased Autobot (Stage 4 - N 45° 17.026 W 075° 56.248 ) and solve the following:
  • G = If the Autobot is a car, then G is 1, however if the Autobot is a dirtbike/motorcycle, then G is 2.
  • H = The number corresponds to the main paint color of the entire Autobot: black=0, yellow=1, blue=2, orange=3.

Keep walking to "observe" 2 more locations (Note: Due to construction I think these are gone now... they both were 'Autobot Defense Lookout Towers'... so that means I=1 and J=1):
  • I = 1 = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 17.063' W075° 56.271' (corresponds to Stage 5)
  • J = 1 = Number of 'thing' found at: N45° 17.073' W075° 56.272' (corresponds to Stage 6)

Be sure to private message me if you know of any other undiscovered Autobot burial grounds (old cars/trucks/motorcycles/skidoos or random scraps of metal) in, or near, Ottawa ;) - and don't forget to 'favorite' these if you are enjoying the series.
